Birthday Cake

So last night I went out for 2 of my friends joint 21st......(lovely Sunday hangover atm lol). They were trying for ages to get a cake for the party so I said I would do it for them if they just let me know what they wanted. As soon as I heard it involved pink and leopard print I knew I would enjoy making it lol. Now, I don't make cakes for a living or hobby, it's something I used to do when I was younger and enjoy doing. I just thought I would share a couple of pics of the cake and the 2 girls with the cake! Hope ye enjoy and let me know what ye think!

The finished cake :)

Pretty Little Liars

Oh My God.... I watched the first episode of Pretty Little Liars on MTV a few weeks ago and I straight away ordered all 6 books that were available on Amazon! I'd heard Tiffany D rave about the series on You Tube but never really passed any heed because it takes ages for American shows to get over here :( I'm half way through the third book and I can't put them down, hope I wont have to wait for the final 2 books to come....they are sitting patiently on my Amazon wish list!

The story is basically about a group of 5 female friends and the "leader" Alison goes missing suddenly and 1 or 3 years later (depending on book or tv) they find her body. But before and after this the remaining 4 girls keep receiving really strange texts and emails from "A" revealing their secrets and setting out to seek revenge on the girls. It doesn't sound that interesting but once you get into it it is soooo addictive!

Above is the cover of the books I currently have from the series, the first one shows the girls from the tv series.

Any of ye seen the series or read the books? Let me know!

Make up brush storage

Hey everyone, since I spent so long deep cleaning my make up brushes last night I thought I would do a quick post about how I store my make up brushes! Its just a quick overview of where I keep all my brushes. I got the rail and the pots from Ikea (of course lol) and they were so cheap!

The rail is 100cm long and was only €2.49 while the pots were €0.49 each and come in loads of different colours! The rail comes in 2 lengths but I went for the longer one and it holds 7 of the pots.

I originally had eye and lip liners in the pots too but i switched it up today so its just brushes now. The only down side to this storage is that you have to drill it to the wall but the pots do also stand up by themselves so you could use them without the rail!

The rail:

Overshot (ignore my lower body lol) (also the brush roll to the left is pictured below)

Liquid and powder face brushes

Larger face brushes and Bare Minerals brushes

Eyeshadow, eyeliner and brow / sponge tip brushes

Extra brushes that are still drying! lol

Brush kit from No 7 in Boots has 4 interchangeable heads with one magnetic handle that also comes with a cap for it, handy little set!

Hope ye all liked this post! I know its not as pretty as the pots/containers with the bean bag filler, but this keeps all my brushes organised and within reach without taking up surface space! lol

Any questions just post them below!
