Hey everyone, so a couple of weeks ago I asked my brother to pick me up a Mac MSF natural as I haven't got a Mac counter near me (sucks) but anyway he bought it but forgot to bring it home when he visited last week! :'( can't trust men! lol but luckily he was up again today and remembered it!! so just posted a few pics of it below! it does look slightly darker in the pics than it actually is! I'm currently about an NC15 if you want to use that as a reference and I have the SF in Light Medium, enjoy!

The actual powder
Left is a heavy swatch and right is slightly blended, it looks yellow and too dark on camera but i tried some on my face and it seems to buff in to my natural colour! lol
I'll keep ye posted on what I think of the product, hope it works on my dry skin! Going to try it along and over a few foundations and see how it goes! It is a bit chalky when you swirl your brush in it so have to be really careful to not get it everywhere! :(
Hope ye enjoyed!

Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)
I'm posting a link from an article I read on Daily Mail online a few months ago all about a chemical called sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). It is commonly used in skin care products as a detergent. It has been proven to thin and damage the skin when used over long periods of time. I often wondered why I was reacting to products that were designed for eczema when I realised that SLS was the common ingredient! Always be careful of any product thats causes stinging or burning when you apply it because it may be causing more harm than good! :( The only cream I dont react to so far that contains SLS is Epiderm, but I only use that if really really necessary!
Check out the link below and let me know if you've had any problems with products that contain SLS

Eczema
So for as long as I can remember i have been tormented with problematic skin, especially on my body. Now my case is by no means a serious one but as anyone with eczema will tell you, the smallest patch can play havoc on your physical and emotional well being!
Below is a definition of eczema taken from wikipedia to give ye an idea of what it is.
"The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent skin conditions. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes that are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skin edema (swelling), itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Areas of temporary skin discoloration may appear and are sometimes due to healed injuries. Scratching open a healing lesion may result in scarring and may enlarge the rash."
Sounds lovely doesn't it?? lol
Anyway my skin is left permanently discoloured in some areas and can become very dry and flakey. Simple things such as showering and hair removal can become a daily battle if the wrong product is used. My skin will react within seconds to a product if my skin doesn't like it! Mind you this has its benefits as I know straight away whether to keep using a product or not. I am blessed that my face is not as sensitive or dry as my body as it is the part of your body that is most visible.
I hope to be able to post reviews of skin products on this blog and hopefully share thoughts and ideas with people and fellow sufferers!! I will post pics and updates of my skin as I try out different products!
Any questions or ideas etc just post em below
Thanks

Make up collection
So I just thought I would do a quick post of my make up collection and storage as it is at the moment! I'm still not 100% happy with it and as my collection keeps growing I'll have to find a new way to store everything! lol
So below are the pics and if you want me to do a review of any product don't hesitate to ask! I'm also gonna do an overview of all the products in categories ie foundations, blushers etc along with swatches! Enjoy!
Above - Malm drawers from Ikea, I think they were €75 have 3 sets in my room in total!
Above (2 pics) - The first drawer has all my liquid face products, so foundations, highlighters, concealers etc!
Above (2 pics) - The second drawer has all my powder face products such as blush, bronzer, setting powder etc
Above (2 pics) - The third drawer as all my eye products except eyeliners which I keep separate and will show in a separate post
Above (2 pics) - The fourth and final drawer has all my lip products except lip liners which I will again show in a different post
Each drawer has 2 pics just because i couldnt fit everything in to one each lol!
Above - The final pic shows my larger palettes which I keep on a separate shelf just so I can see them and reach for them easily!
So I hope ye like this quick overview and any questions just post em below!

Nails of the day 29-03-11
Today I am sporting Nails Inc "Ebury Mews" topped with Models Own "Juicy Jules" on alternate nails.
Ebury Mews is a cool toned pale pink with a hint of lilac, it also has a subtle silver sheen on the bottle but it doesn't really translate to the nail. It is a gorgeous spring colour that looks amazing with a tan!
Juicy Jules is a mainly silver glitter but also contains multi coloured specks through it. It is a really nice sparkle to add over any other polish but i especially love it over light colours!
Check out the pics below!

Wish List
So I have decided that I finally going to take the plunge and treat myself to a Louis Vuitton next time I'm near a store that stocks them! I think I am going to go for the Speedy 35 with the Damier Azur Canvas material, i love the colours and subtle print of it and also it is one of the cheaper types of Louis Vuittons! Mind you I have seen very few LV's in person so i'll probably change my mind a million times in the store! hope to go look at some soon and then make my decision after that! I want to be 100% sure before I spent that much money on a bag (€500 ish)! I'll try and get some pics when I go looking at them!
